Welcome to the debut issue of the River of Rock newsletter!
This will be the single source for the latest information on all our affiliated rock and entertainment websites. To start, we’ll publish this monthly (on the 10th of each month), but do plan on expanding our content sources and publishing frequency in the future. We’d also like to establish affiliates with more musical artists, writers, merchants, and anybody else related to this industry.
If you’d like more information on becoming an affiliate or just would like to offer some feedback , please email me at info@33Dimensions.com. I hope you enjoy this new feature.

Today is the 2nd anniversary of the official launch of Modern Rock Review on 10/10/10. Two years ago, the site kicked off with a first-of-its-kind profile of The Badlees, which examined their career on the 20th anniversary of their own debut EP in 1990. Since that launch, the site went on to do extensive profiles on Rush, Mark Oliver Everett, Lenny Kucinski, and Coldplay, along with many more articles, album reviews, and blogs.
Today the website also announced J.D. Cook as the new Executive Editor.
Classic Rock Review started off as a specialized section of Modern Rock Review in 2011 but has become its own distinct website with a clear mission. The site’s primary purpose is to review significant, historic rock albums in a systematic way, by dedicating particular periods to focus on particular feature years in rock n roll. Right now the year being featured is 1987, which will continue to be covered through October 28th with the album of the year feature on U2’s The Joshua Tree. Starting in November, the site will review albums from 1972.
If you like entertainment, movies, video games, sports, literature, philosophy, politics, and yes, music, then Big Blue Bullfrog may be the site for you. This site was started in 2007 but was revamped to its current status in the Fall of 2011, and in that year has grown to be a cultural phenomenon. The site is currently reviewing the first five Resident Evil games, in honor of the release of the sixth, and the NFL features Tuesday Morning Tailback and The Giants Blog are published weekly.
Hey, how about those G-men! (that’s the New York Giants for you non-football fans). At the time of our last newsletter on Christmas Eve, they were 7-7 and on the verge of being eliminated. Then with big wins over the Jets and Cowboys, they “snuck” into the playoffs at 9-7. Then the real fun began – a huge win against Atlanta in the Wildcard round, a flawless performance in Green Bay in the Divisional Playoff, and an overtime head-knocker against San Francisco in the NFC Championship. Now the Giants face the New England Patriots in the Super Bowl this Sunday, Feburary 5th, in a rematch of the thrilling game four years ago which the Giants won 17-14. Now my intent here is not to isolate Patriot fans, but the “big blue” in our fast-growing site BigBlueBullfrog.com did originate from the Giants. Enjoy the game everyone!

Classic Rock Review has migrated to a new, permanent home at www.ClassicRockReview.com (it had been at Classic.ModernRockReview.com for the first year of its existence). The site is currently exploring albums from the great year of 1977.
Cygnus Wave Records has added song pages for all of its artists, which each include lyrics, song information, and the ability to listen to each song in total. Since 2005, Cygnus Wave had seven album releases.
BigBlueBullfrog.com is benefitting greatly from the Super Bowl run of the New York Giants. The site also continues to expand and currently features an exploration of the musical sub-genre Nerd Rock and is offering strong coverage of the 2012 Election, with a correspondent on the ground in Florida tonight covering that state’s primary.
The Latest Modern Rock Review feature is an article on Americana legend Steve Earle. The site, which got a recent facelift for 2012, will soon be doing features on rock bands The Black Keys and Foo Fighters, as well as a review of the latest album by Van Halen.
Diane Kovaleski turned 35 yesterday (January 30th). In 2007 at the age of 30, Diane suffered a major stroke which the doctors initially said she would not survive for more than a week. But Diane is a fighter and she carries on despite her maladies. Back in that first year, a benefit called Dollars for Diane was established by her friends and family to raise funds for Brain Injury Research and a scholarship for Diane’s young daughter. In 2010, Pennsylvania musicians donated their songs create the Dollars for Diane Compilation CD, which is still available for only $5, which gets donated to this great cause.
The Badlees are planning a big year in 2012, which may include two new albums – a “Best of” collection and a whole new album of original material – plus a DVD documentary of the band as well as a major motion picture featuring their music. The band has also begun booking live dates for 2012.
We strive for the growth and success of all our customers!
Happy Thanksgiving Everyone! We have so much to be thankful for this year, not the least of which being the privilege to run a creative, great, and rewarding business full time. Our Wounded Warrior Project event on Veteran’s Day was a great success thanks to the time and dedication of so many people including the musicians, volunteers, and participants who donated to this great cause with much time, effort, and resources.
Speaking of musicians, my wife and I caught a great show in Wilkes-Barre last night. It was a special unplugged “storytellers” show, performed at an old cathedral, featuring The Badlees and we sat in the third “pew” from the front and enjoyed these incredible talents for less than the cost of the normal ticket surcharge of a mainstream concert performer. Local music rocks!
But most of all, I am thankful for my friends and family. My wife, who is constantly there helping with all these initiatives, my twin sons who just turned 14 earlier this month, my eldest son, who recently established a chapter on his campus of the “Super Men’s Group”, which fights against the abuse of women, and a special shout out to my father, who celebrated his 75th birthday yesterday.
Thank you all for supporting us this past year and have a great Thanksgiving!

Black Friday Special
33 Dimensions can’t miss out the fun of “Black Friday” so we will be offering special discounts on personal websites. We don’t advertise much of the personal websites we’ve developed because they are, well, personal. However, we have developed a variety of sites ranging from family history sites to personal tribute sites to fantasy football sites to exclusive sites for groups and organizations.
Many people are surprised at how quickly developed and cost-efficient these sites can be. Act now and we can get something up and running by Christmas, which would make a very unique and special gift for someone.

I originally intended to publish this newsletter two weeks ago as the “NFL Kickoff Edition”. But then much of Pennsylvania was hit by a natural disaster and my friends and neighbors were hit by devastating flooding which affected the lives of thousands of people in northern and central Pennsylvania. So in the big picture, games like NFL Football seemed minor compared to the everyday lives and livelihoods which were turned upside down overnight.
33 Dimensions prides ourselves on being champions of local small businesses, artists, and entrepreneurs, which we believe will be the true engine that brings backs the American economy. We also understand that, in a natural disaster such as this, these small businesses are the ones that take the hardest hits, which may be more easily absorbed by larger companies. So today as the sun crosses the equator, heading south for the winter, we ask you to support local businesses whenever possible. You may be pleasantly surprised by the superior products and services that your neighbors have to offer. Finally, we ask that you keep these flood victims in your thoughts and prayers. If you’d care to make a financial donation you can contribute to the United Way fund listed below or to many other fine organizations which are dedicated to helping the flood victims.

For a limited time in 2011, we are offering extra special deals for small businesses and individuals in Northeastern and Central Pennsylvania. It is our small way of helping our neighbors rebuild and get back on their feet. Of course, our service, quality, and dedication to your custom needs will remain at 100% throughout all phases of your project. For more info, please check out our Services page.
33 Dimensions is also extending many of the Summer deals into Autumn and offering consulting services where a representative will sit down and personally answer any and all your questions about establishing a web presence. Here we’ll give you an honest analysis of what your business or organization needs, even if it is a service or specialty that 33 Dimensions does not offer.
